James has over 12 years of retail finance experience specializing in corporate development and strategic planning. James specializes in advising clients on strategic acquisitions, divestitures and financing services. Prior to joining The Food Partners, James had a distinguished retail finance career with companies including Wal-Mart, Kmart, and The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co (“A&P”). While at A&P, a $9 billion food retailer, James was involved in all aspects of the transformational acquisition of Pathmark including raising the needed financing. Additionally, James successfully completed the divestitures of Sav-A-Center and Farmer Jack divisions. While at Wal-Mart, the world’s largest company, James served as a crucial member of the corporate finance group that was charged with corporate finance and strategic planning projects.
