EUFAULA, Ala. (WTVM) – Renfroe’s Market will soon open its 9th store, taking the place of the Winn-Dixie grocery store in Eufaula.
Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Winn-Dixie, announced the closure of more than 30 Winn-Dixie stores and eight Harveys Supermarkets across Alabama, Georgia, and other southern states on Tuesday. These closures included the Eufaula location on 1055 S Eufaula Ave.
As a result, the building will become the new home of Renfroe’s Market, a family-owned and operated grocery chain based in Montgomery.
According to Renfroe’s Market representatives, the chain, founded in 1997, is slated to open in December 2025.
“We’re thrilled to become part of the Eufaula community. Our goal has always been to provide families with a clean, friendly, and affordable shopping environment while supporting local vendors and communities across Alabama. We look forward to bringing that same tradition to Eufaula.”Rob Renfroe, Owner
Representatives say they will bring the ‘Discover the Difference’ experience to the community—focusing on freshness, exceptional service, and community connection.
The store will include the following departments:
- Fresh meat and seafood
- Produce
- Deli and bakery
- Grocery staples
